Vision Zero Summit 2022 – Meet the organizers!

The Vision Zero Summit 2020 is organized by the Task Group on Vision Zero at the Enterprise Level in collaboration with the Japan Organizing Committee (JOC).

The Task Group is chaired by Mr Tommi Alanko, Director of the Occupational Safety Unit at the Finnish Institute for Occupational Health, and forms part of the ILO-led Global Coalition for Safety and Health at Work. The Coalition was launched at the first Vision Zero Summit in 2019 in Helsinki as a multi-stakeholder partnership, aiming at generating strategies and practical solutions for common occupational safety and health challenges that can benefit from a global perspective.

The aim of the Task Group is to introduce the Vision Zero concept globally to enterprises in a pragmatic way, and to support the implementation of Vision Zero thinking by promoting an exchange of existing experiences in different countries and enterprises that have adopted Vision Zero as a driver for OSH management.

Besides the Finnish Institute for Occupational Health the Task Group is made up of the International Labour Organization, the International Social Security Association, the International Occupational Hygiene Association, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and the Institute for Global Safety Promotion.

The Japan Organizing Committee (JOC) is chaired by Professor Masao Mukaidono, Chairman of the IGSAP, and includes as well the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Japan and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. The Barcelona-based International ORP Foundation assists the JOC in Summit planning and communication.

The Summit organizers invite the global OSH-Community to join this exceptional international OSH-event and help shaping the future of prevention based on the Vision Zero mind-set!
